Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is Reportedly ‘Not Being Worked on Right Now’
After being initially announced back in 2021, the highly anticipated Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is now reportedly dead.
During Game Mess Mornings, Jeff Grubb discusses the development with Tamoor Hussain, giving an update about the current project. Grubb goes on to say, “I just want to clear it up, this game is not being worked on right now.”
There have been rumors about the game that work is being transferred to various other developers, and that Sony has taken down the reveal trailer due to music licensing issues. Grubb says that it’s just gone “full stop” and is not being worked on “in any way, at any studio.”
Jason Schreier of Bloomberg made a report back in 2022 about the game being delayed indefinitely because Design Director Brad Prince and Art Director Jason Minor were unexpectedly fired.
