STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl Delayed to November
In a nutshell
- STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl has seen its fair share of challenges throughout the course of its development
- It was scheduled for a September 5 release date, but has now been delayed again
- Its new release date is November 20, but the developers will showcase a deep dive video on August 12
GSC Game World has announced that STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl, originally scheduled to launch on September 5, has now been delayed to November 20, 2024.
“We know you might be tired of waiting, and we truly appreciate your patience. These two additional months will give us the chance to fix more “unexpected anomalies” (or simply “bugs”, as you call them). We are always grateful for your ongoing support and understanding – it means the world to us. We’re just as eager as you are to finally release the game and for you to experience it for yourself.” said Yevhen Grygorovych, Game Director at GSC Game World.
To make the wait a bit more bearable, the developers have revealed that a Developer Deep Dive will premiere in collaboration with Xbox on August 12, 2024, featuring a variety of never-before-seen content that includes interviews and behind-the-scenes of the development process, new footage, a world overview, various locations, and even a full video walkthrough of one of the story quests.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl is now scheduled to release on November 20, 2024.
