In a nutshell

• 2 characters have already been revealed for Tekken 8’s season 1 – Eddy Gordo and Lidia Sobieska
• The third character has been revealed, and it is Heihachi Mishima
• Heihachi will join the roster in Autumn 2024

During EVO 2024, Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed the next DLC character coming to Tekken 8, and he is none other than Heihachi Mishima.

Heihachi Mishima is the third season 1 DLC character joining the roster, coming in Autumn 2024 after Lidia Sobieska.

For the first time ever in Tekken history, Tekken 8 adds an entirely new chapter to its story mode, expanding on “The Dark Awakens” storyline, which continues the clash between the Kazama and Mishima families. “The Dark Awakens” story mode expansion will be available as a free update for all players. 

The return of Heihachi is quite a big surprise, although not totally unexpected, because Tekken Director Katsuhiro Harada once mentioned that Heihachi is “completely dead.”

At the moment, it is unsure when Heihachi will make his return and what other updates will be included, so we’ll have to wait a bit for more details.

Tekken 8 is now available on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
