Final Fantasy XVI System Requirements
Based on the Steam Page of the game, here are the minimum and recommended system requirements for Final Fantasy XVI:
Minimum | Recommended | |
OS | Windows 10 / 11 64-bit | Windows 10 / 11 64-bit |
Processor | AMD Ryzen 5 1600 / Intel Core i5-8400 | AMD Ryzen 7 5700X / Intel Core i7-10700 |
Memory | 16 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
Graphics | AMD Radeon RX 5700 / Intel Arc A580 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 | AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 |
Storage | 170 GB | 170 GB |
Notes | 30FPS at 720p expected. SSD required. VRAM 8GB or above. | 60FPS at 1080p expected. SSD required. VRAM 8GB or above. |
At its minimum, Final Fantasy XVI will only require players to have a GTX 1070, but two things that stand out are the 16 GB RAM and 170 GB SSD space required. 720 at 30 FPS is not a pleasant experience, especially for a game that looks as good as this one, but at least we know it is playable.
Jumping up to the recommended specs, an RTX 2080 is required, and this will give players 1080p at 60 FPS for a decent playthrough.
A PC demo is available starting today.
Final Fantasy XVI is scheduled to launch on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on September 17, 2024, and will retail for $49.99.
