Sky Mavis and Zentry have announced that Ragnarok Landverse is coming to Ronin in Q1 2025.
Merging Zentry’s expertise in Web3 gaming with Ronin’s extensive gaming distribution network, this new version of the classic MMORPG will maintain its immersive gameplay while introducing new opportunities for players to earn and own digital assets.
Ragnarok Landverse was developed by Zentry’s game technology studio Maxion in partnership with Gravity, the original publisher, and has already attracted over 400,000 players and generated $15 million in revenue from in-game items and NFT sales during its soft launch.
Ronin, known for its rapid growth as a gaming blockchain and its ecosystem of popular Web3 titles like Axie Infinity and Pixels, will support the seamless integration of gameplay and blockchain features for Ragnarok Landverse.
“Our partnership with Sky Mavis goes beyond launching Ragnarok Landverse on Ronin. Together, we’re paving the way for future Biggest gaming IPs to transition into Web3. By focusing on engaging gameplay, global accessibility, and blockchain-powered asset ownership—without relying on incentives like tokens—Ragnarok Landverse demonstrates that Web3 gaming success is possible through quality alone. We are fully committed to making our vision of onboarding 50 million global users to Web3 gaming a reality,” shared Jarindr Thitadilaka, Founder & CEO of Zentry.
“Having been a Ragnarok player myself, I understand the deep nostalgia and connection this game evokes in its global community. Zentry’s Ragnarok Landverse—with its massive player base and $15 million in NFT sales—proves that Web3 gaming is about creating experiences that players truly love, enabling players to earn and collect. With Ronin’s proven track record of powering Web3 hits and our mission to bring economic freedom to everyone, starting with gamers, we’re thrilled to help expand Ragnarok Landverse to an even larger, more engaged audience,” said Trung Nguyen, Sky Mavis Co-Founder and CEO.
