Capcom has announced that Mai Shiranui will join the Street Fighter 6 roster on February 5, 2025.

As the second guest character in the series’ history, Mai brings a unique move set inspired by classic SNK games and enhanced with modern Street Fighter 6 mechanics.

Street Fighter 6 Mai Shiranui Overview

Players can expect to use Mai across all three game modes: Fighting Ground, Battle Hub, and World Tour. Her move set includes a variety of techniques designed to control opponents with flaming projectiles, dive kicks, and more.

Some of her notable moves are:

• Kachousen: Mai throws her fan like a fireball, which can be charged to become unblockable.
• Ryuuenbu: A fiery spin move for combos and space control.
• Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi: A cartwheel attack that can be followed up with an aerial move.
• Hishou Ryuuenjin: An anti-air dragon punch with a flaming kick.
• Kagerou no Mai: A Level 1 Super Art that sets the area on fire and grants Mai five Flame Stocks.
• Chou Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi: A Level 2 Super Art where Mai rushes forward in a blaze of glory.
• Shiranui Ryuu: Enbu Ada Zakura: A Level 3 Super Art featuring a series of elegant fan strikes.

Mai will also come with two outfits: Outfit 1, reminiscent of her classic style from the Fatal Fury series, and Outfit 2, themed around her look in the upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Players can unlock Outfit 2 by using Fighter Coins or maxing out their bond with Mai in World Tour.

Mai will be available for players who own or purchase the Year 2 Character Pass or Year 2 Ultimate Pass. She joins the roster alongside M. Bison and Terry, with Elena set to arrive in Spring 2025.
