The renowned Tenement Court in Taguig has a new attraction that is attracting both Marvel fans and art enthusiasts alike: a spectacular mural of Captain America: Brave New World. This impressive piece, created by the Tenement Visual Artists (TVA), a collective of dedicated Filipino muralists, showcases Sam Wilson’s Captain America heroically wielding his iconic shield, donned in his updated suit. The mural also features the menacing Red Hulk poised for battle in the background.
For the Tenement Visual Artists, this mural is a heartfelt tribute to Filipino artistry and the nation’s profound appreciation for Marvel. TVA member Adrian Piñon expressed the collective’s pride, stating, “Isang karangalan po magkaroon ng opportunity ang Tenement Visual Artists na gumawa ng isang mural para kay Captain America na talagang iniidolo ng nakararami.” (Translation: It’s truly an honor for Tenement Visual Artists to have the opportunity to create a mural for Captain America, a hero admired by many.)
Since its unveiling, the mural has attracted a steady stream of Marvel enthusiasts, including cosplayers dressed as Sam Wilson’s Captain America, Steve Rogers, and even the mighty Red Hulk.
