HoYoverse has announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7 goes live on April 23.

The update, “Bury Your Tears With the Past,” will deliver a riveting finale to Season 1’s story and introduce two new playable characters, Vivian and Hugo.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7 New Characters

Vivian

Vivian, an Ether Anomaly Agent, dances across the battlefield with a parasol and rapier, seamlessly shifting between grounded and aerial attacks. Her Basic Attack: Featherbloom amplifies Anomaly damage and synergizes with allies’ EX Special Attacks to boost the team’s Corruption damage.

Hugo

Hugo, an Ice Attack Agent, wields a suitcase that transforms into a sharp scythe, carving through enemies with slashes and devastating area sweeps. Hugo can trigger the Totalize effect when hitting stunned enemies, elevating his damage based on the enemies’ remaining stun duration.

Robin, Mockingbird’s agile Bangboo companion, also joins the roster in this update. The Physical Anomaly Agent Jane and the Fire Stun Agent Lighter will also return in the banners.

Version 1.7 also offers various in-game events. Say It With Flowers lets players manage a flower shop, designing arrangements for clients. In Quality Time mode, players unlock a permanent floral gameplay feature, along with exclusive rewards like A-Rank Bangboo Overtimeboo.

For those seeking action, Bangboo Bash returns with a ranked mode, challenging Proxies in obstacle and survival courses to earn points, climb leaderboards, and win event titles, Polychromes, and other rewards.
