HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact‘s Version 5.8 update, “Sunspray Summer Resort,” is launching on July 30, 2025.

In this update, players can explore a new permanent summer adventure map, the Easybreeze Holiday Resort, along with encountering the first Nod-Krai character, Ineffa.

Genshin Impact Version 5.8 New Character – Ineffa

Ineffa joins Genshin Impact as a 5-star Electro polearm user, introducing the new Lunar-Charged reaction. This replaces Electro-Charged when she’s in the party, summoning a Thundercloud that deals continuous AoE Electro DMG to enemies affected by both Electro and Hydro, with potential CRITs.

Her kit includes a deployable shield and her assistant unit, Birgitta, which dashes toward enemies with AoE Electro attacks and gains an extra strike if a Thundercloud is nearby.

Other highlights of Genshin Impact Version 5.8 include:

• New Permanent Map: Easybreeze Holiday Resort, an island off the west coast of Natlan, featuring four distinct zones. Travelers can harness the resort’s mascot, Asha, to explore and discover even more fun.
• New Archon Quest: “Song of the Welkin Moon: Prelude – The Journey Home” unveils Ineffa’s origins.
• Event Wishes: Phase I – Ineffa, Citlali; Phase II – Mualani, Chasca.
• New Outfits: Yelan and Bennett receive new outfits; Bennett’s is complimentary, while Yelan’s is available at a discounted rate for a limited time.
• Seasonal Events: Enjoy various mini-games to earn Bennett’s new outfit and the 4-star Claymore “Flame-Forged Insight.”
