HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact Version Luna III: Song of the Welkin Moon — Interlude “A Nocturne of the Far North” will launch on December 3, 2025.

The update will bring a wealth of new content, including the highly anticipated debut of Durin and the grand Moon-Prayer Night festival in Nod-Krai.

Genshin Impact Update New Characters – Durin and Jahoda

Durin enters the roster as a 5-star Pyro Sword wielder with dual combat forms.

• Simulanka Form: Supports the team by reducing enemy Elemental Resistance and dealing AoE Pyro DMG.
• Abyssal Form: Focuses on devastating single-target attacks, enhancing Vaporize and Melt reactions.

Durin’s Story Quest will reveal more about his origins and connection to the Hexenzirkel, with exclusive rewards awaiting players.

Joining the roster is Jahoda, a 4-star Anemo Bow wielder specializing in team healing and elemental absorption.

Event wishes return, with Durin, Jahoda, and Venti in phase 1, and Varesa and Xilonen in phase 2.

Moon-Prayer Night and Archon Quest Rewards

In the vibrant Moon-Prayer Night celebration, players can enjoy festival stalls, collect souvenirs in a stamp book, and witness the Dameselette’s final night before her journey to the moon. Unexpected guests also arrive as the Hexenzirkel, including Alice (Klee’s mother) and Nicole Reeyn, who warn of unstable borders and strange phantoms across Nod-Krai.

Completing the new Archon Quest rewards players with Primogems ×500 for a limited time.

Hexerei Characters and Secret Rite

Genshin Impact Version Luna III introduces Hexerei enhancements for characters tied to the Hexenzirkel, including Venti, Klee, Albedo, Mona, Razor, Fischl, and Sucrose. Completing Alice’s “Witch’s Homework” unlocks new abilities and constellation changes.

With at least two Hexerei characters in a party, the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect activates, boosting combat capabilities. Venti, for example, regains hidden powers, transforming his Normal Attack into piercing Windsunder Arrows.

• Soulblazers’ Snowbound Journey: Winter-themed minigames in Dragonspine with rewards including the exclusive 4-star weapon “Rainbow Serpent’s Rain Bow”.
