Square Enix has announced that fans can begin their adventure early with a free demo of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, set to release on January 7, 2026.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Demo Details

The demo will allow players to experience several opening hours of the upcoming remake, with save data carrying over to the full game when it officially launches on February 5, 2026.

The demo will be available across platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series, PC via Steam, Switch, and Switch 2. Notably, the Steam demo will arrive slightly later on January 8, 2026 (JST), while the Nintendo Switch demo will follow at a later date.

Demo Rewards and Bonuses

Players who complete the demo and continue with the full release will receive a unique cosmetic outfit for Maribel called the “Day Off Dress.”
