HoYoverse has officially announced that Honkai Star Rail Version 4.0, titled “No Aha at Full Moon,” will launch on February 13, 2026. This update introduces Planarcadia, a dazzling new world where clout and entertainment reign supreme, and society thrives on spectacle.
At the heart of the update is the Phantasmoon Games, a chaotic competition designed by The Laughter. The victor earns the rare honor of “becoming an Aeon for one minute.” With only eight masks granting entry, factions including the Astral Express, IPC, Xianzhou Alliance, and Stellaron Hunters are all vying for supremacy.
Honkai Star Rail 4.0 New Characters: Yao Guang and Sparxie
Two powerful 5-star characters join the roster in Version 4.0:
- Yao Guang — A Physical character on the Path of Elation, she serves as the Xianzhou Alliance’s divination strategist. Her skills revolve around “Weal and Woe Lots,” boosting team damage and triggering extra “Aha Instants.”
- Sparxie — A Fire-Type character resembling Sparkle, she’s Planarcadia’s hottest streamer. In combat, Sparxie engages enemies in a livestream showdown, consuming Skill Points to generate Punchlines and unleash massive AoE damage.
Other featured characters include Black Swan, Evernight, Hysilens, Sparkle, Cerydra, and Rappa, with enhancements to Black Swan and Sparkle’s abilities.
Events, Rewards, and Gameplay Updates
Players logging in after launch will receive a 20-pull reward, a free Ruan Mei outfit, and 1,600 Stellar Jades from Yao Guang’s fortune event. Additional perks include a free 5-star selector, new Trailblaze outfits, and headwear.
Honkai Star Rail Version 4.0 also introduces fresh gameplay modes and events:
