Sony has revealed in its latest financial results that the PS5 has shipped over 92.2 million units globally as of December 31, 2025.

Quarterly Performance

During the three months ending December 31, 2025, Sony shipped 8 million PS5 units, down 1.5 million from the same period in the prior fiscal year. Despite this dip, overall engagement across the PlayStation ecosystem remains strong.

Sony also reported 132 million monthly active users on PlayStation Network as of September 30, 2025, up 3 million year over year.

Software Sales Surge

Combined PS5 and PS4 software sales reached 97.2 million units in the same quarter, up 1.3 million from last year. Notably, 13.2 million units were first-party titles, a 1.6 million increase.

Digital downloads accounted for 76% of total software sales, reflecting the industry’s ongoing shift toward digital distribution.
