Square Enix has officially released Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster on PC via Steam and Xbox Series X|S, expanding access to one of the most beloved RPGs of the century. The remaster is also compatible with handhelds like the ROG Ally and Steam Deck, ensuring fans can enjoy the adventure across multiple platforms.

To celebrate the launch, the game is available at a 20% discount on Steam and Xbox, with buyers receiving a digital art book accessible through D-Viewer as a permanent bonus.

A PS5 version of Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster is surprisingly absent, with no announcement from Square Enix just yet.

Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster – A Return to Luxendarc

Originally released for the Nintendo Switch 2 last year, the HD remaster brings players back to Luxendarc, a world where four elemental crystals maintain peace until darkness erupts from the Great Chasm. Players join the Warriors of Light – Agnès Oblige, Tiz Arrior, Edea Lee, Ringabel, and the cryst-fairy Airy – on a quest to restore balance and save the world.

Brave & Default Battle System

The game’s signature Brave & Default turn-based battle system returns, allowing players to strategically control the flow of combat. Brave lets characters expend Brave Points to take multiple actions in a single turn, while Default allows them to defend and stock up points for later use. With over 20 unique jobs, players can mix and match abilities to create diverse party compositions.

Battles are enhanced by a larger-than-life soundtrack from Revo and can be sped up for convenience, making the HD remaster both nostalgic and modernized for today’s players.
