Developer and Publisher ShaggyBearGames has announced Lost & Found, a proudly Filipino indie project that blends heartfelt storytelling with investigative gameplay.

Kurt Reodica, the developer, says he has been solo-developing the game for months and that it is inspired by rural towns in the Philippines, especially his hometown of Luisiana, Laguna. It features a hybrid animation style similar to The Amazing World of Gumball, a personal favorite of Reodica.

Lost & Found – A Return to Luisiana

Set in 2007, Lost & Found follows Rico, a laid-off artist who returns to his rural hometown of Luisiana to take a job at the local Lost and Found office. What seems like a simple task, returning misplaced belongings, quickly becomes something deeper as Rico reconnects with old friends, witnesses the decline of familiar hangouts, and uncovers the hidden stories of the townsfolk.

More Than Just Returning Items

At first glance, the job is straightforward: find the owner of a lost item and return it. But not everyone tells the truth. Some townsfolk may claim items that aren’t theirs, forcing players to investigate, gather clues, and decide who to trust.

The game’s guiding philosophy is that everyone has a story to tell. Through mixed media art direction, combining 2D, 3D, pixel art, and claymation-like visuals, each character feels unique, carrying memories, gossip, secrets, and lies that players must navigate.

Every Item Matters

From a decade-old wallet to a notebook with a legendary bread recipe, every belonging carries weight. Returning items to the right person can change lives for the better, while giving them to the wrong hands may lead to unexpected consequences that ripple through the story.
