The final entry is expected to be completed by 2032, closing the curtain on one of Japan’s most iconic RPG sagas.
The End of an Era for the Trails Series
In a recent interview with Weekly Famitsu for Nihon Falcom’s 45th anniversary this year, Nihon Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo shared that the series’ overarching plot has already been finalized. The upcoming Trails Beyond the Horizon II has its story complete, and the studio even has a rough idea of the final protagonist’s profession.
This announcement signals that Falcom is preparing fans for the grand finale of a journey spanning decades, multiple arcs, and countless unforgettable characters.
