Square Enix has announced new details about The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, particularly about the Age of Reconstruction.

In The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, players must save Princess Heuria of Huther, who must venture from their home, the Age of Safekeeping, into three increasingly distant past eras: the Age of Reconstruction, the Age of Magic, and the Age of Budding.

The “Age of Reconstruction” serves as a primary setting in which humanity lives on the brink of extinction in a village called Littlehope. Here, Elliot meets Heurich (voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto/Daniel Sean Smith), an adventurer seeking a cure for his friend Diona (voiced by Haruka Tomatsu/Katrina Salisbury), and the historian Calotesia (voiced by Chiwa Saito/Rebecca Wang), who aids Elliot with her knowledge of the past.

The Adventures of Elliot – Dynamic Combat and RPG Systems

The gameplay in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales emphasizes a high-action combat system supplemented by various RPG mechanics:

  • Accessories and Equipment: Elliot can equip tools like the Discerning Monocle, which doubles the window for precise guards, or the Defalling Charm to mitigate damage from environmental hazards.
  • Shrines of Life: Dotted across the landscape, these shrines offer trials of skill and intellect. Completing them restores vitality and provides “Shards of Life” to increase Elliot’s maximum health.
  • Bonus Drops: Skilled players are rewarded through a “Bonus Drop” system. Defeating enemies in succession without taking damage increases the rate of loot, currency (Tul), and consumable items like bombs and arrows.
  • Quests: Various NPCs throughout the ages offer quests that provide exclusive gear, such as the Sapling Spear.

The “Cat Collecting” Diversion

Players can also engage in Cat Collecting. Cats are scattered across every era in the land of Philabieldia. Players can bring these felines back to an orphanage, care for them with various foods (fish, meat, or cheese), and play with them to earn rewards like inventory upgrades for arrows and bombs.
