Cyberzone Geek Con DX 2026 Kicks Off at SM City Manila: A Celebration of Tech and Pop Culture
The local geek and gaming community gathered at SM City Manila last weekend as Cyberzone Geek Con DX 2026 officially launched its first leg, bringing the #GalaToTheMax experience for the community.
Running from April 18 to 19, the event celebrated technology, gaming, and pop culture with a fun-filled weekend of activities.

Hardware and Interactive Demos for the Techies
For enthusiasts looking to upgrade their setups or dive into PC gaming, the event served as a one-stop shop. Industry brands such as ASRock, Gigabyte, Sapphire, and ASUS occupied the floor, showcasing full gaming PC builds, high-refresh-rate monitors, motherboards, and other parts.

Attendees were also able to test these rigs’ performance firsthand through demos of demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Tekken 8.

Beyond the displays, those looking to purchase parts benefited from event-exclusive discounts on graphics cards, headsets, and various peripherals.

A Haven for Hoyoverse Fans and Collectors
Pop culture enthusiasts and mobile gamers were not left behind. The event featured a wide array of official merchandise for fans of Hoyoverse titles.
Dedicated booths offered official mousepads, acrylic stands, and plushies from Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero.

Cosplay Talents and Electrifying Performances
The event stage remained a focal point throughout the weekend. Hosts Phaister and Joaqui kept the energy high, leading various segments and engaging the crowd.

Renowned cosplayers Sonica and Pompomny made special appearances, showcasing their craftsmanship and adding a layer of visual flair to the proceedings.
Additionally, various other cosplayers showcased their talents through the Cosplay Catwalk Competition.

Adding to the atmosphere, the band Shounen Jam delivered a setlist of anime-inspired hits. Fans were treated to nostalgic tracks from series like Inuyasha, alongside modern favorites like Oshi no Ko.

Challenges like DIY PC and Rapid Keys Competition
Attendees also participated in skill-based contests, such as the DIY PC contest, which challenged the fastest builders to assemble a rig under time pressure. Top performers walked away with ASUS merchandise and brand-new processors.

Additionally, the Rapid Keys contest tested typing speeds, with the quickest participants securing a variety of tech prizes.
