Square Enix has announced that a free demo of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S, including Xbox PC via Play Anywhere. Players can dive into Chapters 1 and 2, experiencing Cloud Strife’s flashback to the Nibelheim incident alongside Sephiroth, followed by an expansive adventure across the Grasslands region.

The demo supports save file carryover, allowing progress to continue seamlessly into the full game when it launches on June 3, 2026.

The demo showcases several hours of content, including:

  • Synergy Abilities combining real-time action with strategic commands.
  • Exploration of hidden treasures, side stories, and the Queen’s Blood card game.
  • Streamlined progression options such as unlimited HP/MP and faster weapon ability acquisition.
