Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that, for the first time ever, the Gran Turismo World Series will make its way to Southeast Asia, with Round 3 taking place at the Sands Theatre in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore on October 3, 2026.

The event is part of Grand Prix Season Singapore, running from October 2–11, leading up to the city’s iconic Formula 1 race.

Singapore Regional Gran Turismo Cup

Ahead of the main event, a Singapore Regional Time Trial Challenge will be held in Gran Turismo 7 this August. Players from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia can participate, with the fastest racer from each territory earning a spot in the Singapore Regional Gran Turismo Cup. This special support race will see regional talent compete live on stage.

A Premier Motorsport & Gaming Showcase

The Singapore stop is expected to draw a passionate crowd thanks to the country’s strong motorsport and gaming culture. Fans will witness elite sim racers battle it out in the Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup, alongside the regional showdown. With this being the last points-scoring round before the World Finals in Tokyo this December, competition will be fierce.

Gran Turismo Producer Kazunori Yamauchi highlighted the event’s role in discovering new talent, while the Singapore Tourism Board emphasized its importance in cementing Singapore’s reputation as a hub for world-class sporting and entertainment events.
