Play by Play Studios, in partnership with the NBA and NBPA, has announced an open beta for NBA THE RUN.

The test will be live on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 10AM PDT to 6PM PDT across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

What’s Included in the NBA THE RUN Open Beta

Players can expect a taste of the game’s signature streetball action:

• Game Modes: Knockout Squads (play as one player in a team of three) and Knockout Solos (control your entire team).
• NBA Stars: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Luka Dončić, Victor Wembanyama, and more.
• Street Legend: Destiny “DJ” Jackson joins the roster.
• Advanced Dunks & Tricks: Four unique dunks and taunts to show off.
• Style Moves: Crossovers, Shammgods, Slip ’N Slides, and more for expressive gameplay.

Launch Editions and Features

NBA THE RUN officially launches on June 9, 2026 with two editions:

• Standard Edition – $29.99
• Deluxe Edition – $39.99, includes three rookie variants (Stephen Curry ’09, Luka Dončić ’18, Kevin Durant ’07), plus 1000 CRED in‑game currency.

At launch, players can choose from 30+ NBA stars and five fictional streetball legends, each with unique playstyles. Matches are powered by rollback netcode, ensuring smooth and responsive online play.
