The Philippine Collegiate Championship (PCC) officially kicked off its fourth season at the Marco Polo Hotel, Manila, under the theme “Siklab ng Puso”. With Converge ICT Solutions as the official presenter, the league unveiled its bold vision to empower Filipino student gamers nationwide.

Season 4 expands the battlefield to Visayas and Mindanao, aiming to reach 1,000+ schools and provide competitive platforms that bridge classroom learning with the gaming industry. The tournament lineup features Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), Call of Duty: Mobile – Garena (CODM), and a third game to be revealed soon, with a total prize pool of PHP 750,000.

PCC Focus on Grassroots Growth and Industry Partnerships

Game publishers Moonton Games and Garena reaffirmed their support, highlighting grassroots development and community engagement. MLBB continues to strengthen its collegiate presence, while CODM integrates into Campus Roadshows to connect students with esports professionals and creators.

Winning teams from the Open Cup, Regional, and National Leagues will advance to the Campus Playfest 2026 Grand Finals, joined by champions from SCUAA, FESSAP, CESAFI, and the Davao Esports Enthusiast Association.

PCC Season 4 is built on three pillars: Education, Leagues, and Experiences. Highlights include:

  • Campus Roadshow + Esports Masterclass: visiting 20+ schools, engaging 1,500+ participants.
  • Next Gen Hackathon Program: 300+ student teams, with winners earning a cultural immersion trip to Thailand and attending the Thailand Game Show.
  • CCEPlay Platform: a gamified community hub for digital quests, polls, and offline booth activities, enhancing student interaction and rewards.

WP/Gaming CEO Benson Te emphasized sustainability: “Real growth is being able to stay consistent, continue supporting the community, and keep building opportunities that can last long term.” Meanwhile, Converge ICT Solutions VP Orange Ramirez reaffirmed their commitment to grassroots development, ensuring PCC reaches beyond Metro Manila.
