S-Game has dropped the official launch trailer for Phantom Blade Zero, offering players one final look at its stunning blend of martial arts action and dark fantasy ahead of its highly anticipated release later this month.
At the same time, the developer has confirmed that physical PlayStation 5 editions of the game will launch in 2027.
Physical PS5 Editions Confirmed
For collectors and physical media enthusiasts, S-Game has confirmed that Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate PlayStation 5 editions will arrive in 2027. The Ultimate Edition will also include a collectible steel case.
While additional details regarding regional availability and pricing have yet to be revealed, the confirmation gives players another reason to look forward to the game’s post-launch plans.

Enter the World of Kungfupunk
Set in the mysterious Phantom World, Phantom Blade Zero combines traditional kung fu with steampunk-inspired technology and body modification, creating a distinct visual identity that S-Game has dubbed “Kungfupunk.”
Players will journey through a variety of locations, including sprawling environments and hand-painted ink wash-inspired maps. Exploration is also designed to be more rewarding, with some areas intentionally offering only minimal direction to encourage discovery.
Fast-Paced Combat and Multiple Ways to Play
Combat is one of Phantom Blade Zero’s biggest selling points, featuring more than 30 primary weapons alongside secondary weapons known as Phantom Edges. Weapons can be upgraded to unlock new forms and techniques, while the Reforging Talisman system lets players reset upgrades and redistribute resources into different gear builds.
The game also caters to different playstyles through multiple difficulty and gameplay modes:
- Wayfarer Mode offers a more intuitive and cinematic experience.
- Hellwalker Mode introduces mechanics inspired by traditional fighting games.
- 66 Days Mode transforms the protagonist’s life countdown into a gameplay mechanic, where every defeat costs valuable time and can ultimately lead to permanent death.
