Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 6 will have a free-to-play weekend starting March 24 until March 27 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Epic Games and the Ubisoft Store.

Interested players will gain access to the full game along with all of the free DLC that has been published so far. Players that wish to continue their adventures in Yara will have their progress saved and will be treated to discounts should they choose to purchase the full game and the season pass.

• Ubisoft Store: From now until the end of March: 40 percent off as part of the Spring Sale.
• Xbox: As part of Xbox’s Deal of the Week, from March 24-28: 50 percent off all editions of the game, and 35 percent off the Season Pass.
• PlayStation: As part of PlayStation Store’s Deal of the Week, from March 23-30: 50 percent off the Standard and Gold Editions of Far Cry 6, and 35 percent off the Season Pass.
• Epic Games Store: As part of the Epic Spring Sale: 50 percent off all editions of the game, and 35 percent off the Season Pass. The Epic Games Store is also offering 35 percent off the Vaas: Insanity DLC, and 25 percent off the Pagan: Control DLC.

As part of the free weekend, Ubisoft has also announced “The Vanishing”, a new free Stranger Things crossover mission that is available March 24 for all Far Cry 6 players. The mission overview can be seen below:

The Vanishing will bring a stealth-horror-survival gameplay experience to Far Cry players for the first time with mysterious characters and new lore. In The Vanishing, players will enter a twisted version of Yara inspired by the Upside-Down, where Dani discovers that Yarans are disappearing and no one is safe – not even Chorizo. Players will be able to explore Stranger Things-inspired locations, such as a hidden bunker and an abandoned laboratory. Dani’s mission – with new skins for a flamethrower and shotgun – is to search for Chorizo and find out what happened to the abducted Yarans.
