Pac-Man is getting the live-action treatment as a movie is in the works from Bandai Namco Entertainment and production company Wayfarer.

In a report from The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming project is based on an original idea from Chuck Williams (Sonic the Hedgehog movie producer) with Baldoni, Manu Gargi, and Andrew Calof producing for Wayfarer Studios.

The report is light on details, without any trace of plot or cast, so it could be safe to say that the project is in its very early stages. It will be interesting to see how this turns out, so we’ll be sure to keep tabs on this one!

In other related news, Pac-Man World from 1999 is getting a remake and will be coming out on August 26 for all major platforms.
