The Game Awards 2025, the video game industry’s biggest year-end celebration, has officially crowned Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 as Game of the Year.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Wins Big

Developed by Sandfall Interactive and published by Kepler Interactive, the critically acclaimed RPG swept the ceremony, taking home multiple awards including Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, Best Score and Music, Best Performance, Best Independent Game, Best Debut Indie Game, and Best RPG.

Musical Highlights and Special Guests

The event featured appearances from top stars across entertainment and gaming, including Dan Houser, David Harbour, Felicia Day, Gemma Chan, J.J. Abrams, Lenny Kravitz, Milla Jovovich, Neil Newbon, Todd Howard, and Tricia Helfer, among many others, who took to the stage to present awards.

Fans were treated to a powerful live performance by Grammy Award-winning rock band Evanescence, who performed “Afterlife” from Netflix’s upcoming Devil May Cry animated series. Adding to the excitement, the cast of Paramount Pictures’ upcoming Street Fighter film, including Jason Momoa, Roman Reigns, Andrew Koji, Cody Rhodes, and Noah Centineo, presented the award for Best Ongoing Game.
