SEGA has announced that the SEGA Villains Stage DLC for SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance is now live on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. Alongside the DLC, a free update has also been released, giving players new challenges and customization options.

For a limited time, the Standard Edition is available at a 40% discount until April 7 on the Nintendo eShop and April 8 on the PlayStation Store.

Legendary SEGA Bosses Join the Fight

The DLC introduces five crossover stages and pits players against three iconic bosses:

• Death Adder (Golden Axe) – wielding the Golden Axe with devastating dragon magic.
• Goro Majima (Like a Dragon/Yakuza) – unleashing deadly dagger techniques and doppelgangers.
• Dr. Eggman (Sonic the Hedgehog) – attacking from his Egg Mobile before escalating into a giant robot showdown.

Additional content includes two Boss Rush modes, three new Ninpo abilities, three outfits, and six new music tracks.

Free Shinobi: Art of Vengeance Update Adds Hardcore Mode

Alongside the DLC, SEGA rolled out a free update for all players:

• Hardcore Mode – tougher enemy placements and stronger boss attacks.
• Combat Settings – adjust recovery frames, damage flash effects, and camera shake.
• Quality-of-Life Improvements – smoother gameplay experience across all modes.
