SEGA has announced that Goro Majima (Captain Majima) will be added to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds via a free update on April 30, 2026.

Players can take control of Majima’s signature machine, the Goromaru, and race across four new tracks inspired by the Like a Dragon series. Fans can also set new songs, such as Receive You The Hyperactive and Mad Dog in the in-game jukebox for added flair.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Captain Majima Festival Event

To celebrate Majima’s arrival, SEGA is launching the Captain Majima Festival, a limited-time crossover event running from May 1, 8:00 AM to May 4, 7:59 AM (UTC+8). Players can join one of three teams and compete in special challenges like performing Touch Boosts to earn Festival Points. Rewards include exclusive decals, horns, and gadgets such as the Drift Spinner Kit and The Legendary Pirate title.

Discounts and Free Play Weekend

Alongside the update, SEGA is offering a 40% discount on Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds via the PlayStation Store until May 6, 2026. Meanwhile, PC players can enjoy a free play period on Steam from May 1–5, with save data carrying over if they purchase the game afterward.
