CD PROJEKT RED has officially released a new trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, confirming that the anime will premiere on Netflix this Fall 2026. Produced in collaboration with the legendary Japanese studio TRIGGER, the sequel explores the dystopian metropolis of Night City with an entirely new cast of characters.

The standalone story dives into the city’s darkest corners, expanding on themes of survival, rebellion, and what it means to be an edgerunner.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Creative Team and Music

The series is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with character designs by Ichigo Kanno and a story penned by Bartosz Sztybor (CD PROJEKT RED) and Masahiko Otsuka.

The trailer also features the exclusive track “You Can’t Run From Me” by Rico Nasty, now available on all major streaming platforms.

Promotional artwork was unveiled alongside the trailer, created by Ichigo Kanno (illustration), Yukiko Kakita (ink and color supervision), and Yuichiroh Tozawa (composition).

Anime Expo 2026 Panel

Fans attending Anime Expo in Los Angeles (July 2–5, 2026) will get an exclusive first look at the anime. On July 3, CD PROJEKT RED will host a panel featuring:

  • Bartosz Sztybor (showrunner)
  • Saya Elder (executive producer)
  • Kai Ikarashi (director)
  • Nazeeh Tarsha (voice actor for D)

The panel will also include content creator Danny Motta as host, with attendees treated to a premiere screening of Episode 1 — a showing that will not be recorded or streamed.
