Square Enix and developer Lancarse have released a new trailer for Final Fantasy Resonance, spotlighting the game’s blend of nostalgic pixel art and modern RPG systems.

Final Fantasy Resonance New Details

In Final Fantasy Resonance, players will explore Dilmagia, a steel‑forged city of engineers and airship technology, and Olderion, a crystalline capital safeguarded by the Wardens of the Waters.

New characters include Lid, an aspiring engineer who fights alongside her mechanical chocobo Mechabo, and Nichol, a strategist tied to the Water Shrine. The Sworn Six antagonists — Veritas of the Heavens and Veritas of the Waters — also make their presence felt.

Visions system brings legendary heroes

The Visions mechanic allows crystallized essences of Final Fantasy heroes to join battles. Fan favorites like Cecil, Bartz, Squall, Zidane, and Tidus return with unique abilities, from elemental attacks to speed boosts. Strengthening bonds with Visions unlocks more powers, while staggering enemies enables devastating Resonance attacks.

Espers and completionist content

Classic espers such as Ifrit, Shiva, and Titan can be summoned for three turns before unleashing signature attacks like Hellfire and Diamond Dust.

For completionists, the game offers collectible tablet shards, town minigames like Mog Tag and jump rope, and high‑difficulty challenges. The Colosseum pits players against ferocious foes for rewards, while the Twelve Legendary Arms await those who can defeat the monsters sealed within the Chamber of Arms.
