Capcom has announced an exclusive collaboration with rare whisky specialist DCasks to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise, resulting in a unique collector’s item that blends gaming history with premium Scotch whisky.
The new Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Single Cask Scotch Whisky Collection celebrates three decades of survival horror with an extremely limited global release.
A Whisky Distilled in the Same Year Resident Evil Began
At the heart of the collection is a 30-Year-Old Ardmore Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in 1996, the same year players first stepped into the Spencer Mansion when Resident Evil debuted on the original PlayStation on March 22, 1996.
According to Capcom, the single cask remained maturing in Scotland for three decades as the Resident Evil franchise grew into one of gaming’s most recognizable properties. In 2026, the cask was opened to create what the company describes as an authentic physical companion to the franchise’s birth.
Only 240 Bottles Available Worldwide
The collection is limited to just 240 serialized bottles worldwide, making it one of the rarest officially licensed Resident Evil collectibles released to date. Each bottle includes a physical Certificate of Ownership documenting its provenance from distillery maturation through bottling.
The release will be offered across six distinct character editions, each featuring a unique bottle design inspired by popular figures from the Resident Evil universe.
For collectors looking to secure the complete lineup, only a maximum of 40 full six-bottle sets can exist. Complete set purchases will also include a custom-engineered display case.
Crafted From a Historic Ardmore Cask
The whisky originates from the historic Ardmore Distillery, established in 1898. Bottled at 30 years old from a single cask, the Scotch is described as having a lightly peated profile balanced with notes of sweet dried fruit.
Registration Now Open
Capcom and DCasks have confirmed that registration for purchase access is now available through the collection’s official portal. Interested collectors can register their details and explore the available editions ahead of ordering.
