Splinter Cell Netflix Anime series from John Wick writer confirmed
While not in the form of a game that everybody has been hoping for, this is still welcome news indeed as Ubisoft and Netflix are teaming up to bring a Splinter Cell anime to life.
As per a report from Variety, the series has been confirmed for a two-season, 16-episode run and Derek Kolstad, one of the creators of John Wick, will be in charge as writer and executive producer. Apart from this, no other details have been specified, even as to who will play the role of Sam Fisher or when the series will air.
This is the closest thing fans of the franchise will have, seeing as Ubisoft has no interest (yet) on reviving the game, so we’ll take anything we can get. Rest assured, if the previous forays into Anime from Netflix are any basis for success, then we can very much look forward to this when it launches.
