Amazon is the latest cloud gaming service to join the pile as it announces Amazon Luna, which is launching in the US today via an invite only early access phase. Looks like xCloud has some company.

There are no specifics yet as to when a wider launch will happen but for now, it will be available across various devices such as PC, Mac, Apple devices like iPhone and iPad, and Fire TV.

The introductory price will be $5.99 a month (around PHP300) for unlimited gaming hours, gameplay up to 1080p 60fps (4K to follow), and will allow for 2 devices to stream at the same time.

The current list of titles playable include Resident Evil 7, Control, Panzer Dragoon: Remake, A Plague Tale: Innocence, The Surge 2, Iconoclasts, Grid, and Abzu, among others.

A gaming channel in partnership with Ubisoft was also announced and will be accessible from Luna. This is a separate subscription and will allow access to a whole slew of Ubisoft titles like Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Far Cry 6, and Immortals: Fenyx Rising day and date.

The service will also allow players to launch games directly from Twitch thanks to its integration into the streaming giant and games will be playable through a range of devices such as keyboard and mouse, bluetooth enabled controllers, and Luna’s very own Alexa-enabled controller, which will retail for $49.99.

There is no word yet on an international release as of this writing.
