Xbox Series S can ironically run PS2 games
Still bummed out that your PlayStation 5 can’t run your old PS2 games? Ironically, Microsoft has you covered, as it seems the Xbox Series S can run your PS2 classics via the use of “Developer Mode”.
We know it sounds like a bad joke, but its true, and YouTuber Modern Vintage Gamer shows us proof that it is completely possible to do so, making the Series S an emulation beast as he calls it. MVG proceeds to run titles like God of War and Shadow of the Colossus with impressive results, even though it has a few bugs here and there.

It ain’t perfect, but it’s something, and the fact that the Series S can do this may possibly mean that the Series X, consequentially, may be able to do it too.
What’s even more interesting is the fact that in theory, games from various other platforms can be set up to work on the Series S. Pretty neat!
The Xbox Series S is quite the piece of hardware, which is capable of running backwards compatible games with boosts to resolution and frame rates due to certain similarities in internal parts with the Series X. And for $299, that’s quite the deal!
