Remember those FF7 trademarks – “Ever Crisis” and “The First Soldier”? Some wild speculation was made back then regarding remakes or whatever else, but now it’s been made official as both of these will be new mobile games.

First up is Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier, described as “a battle royale game set in Midgar before the events of FFVII. As a SOLDIER candidate, make full use of your abilities in a battle for your survival.”

Next is Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, described as “a chapter-structured single player game covering the whole of the FFVII timeline – including the events of the original game and the FFVII compilation titles.”

These announcements come hot on the heels of a State of Play reveal for Final Fantasy VII Intergrade, a PlayStation 5 upgrade that features our favorite Materia-stealing girl, Yuffie, and is set to release on June 10.
