The long wait is almost over as Apex Legends fans who have been wanting to take this game on the go will finally get to do so, as the Switch version of the highly popular shooter will be available later today.

Apex Legends for the Switch will feature cross-platform play support, will take up 25GB of space, and has been confirmed to run at 1280 x 720 docked and 1024 x 576 handheld at 30fps, according to Famitsu.

Along with the launch, the Chaos Theory Collection Event will also happen from March 9-23 and will celebrate Caustic – the Outlands notorious, murderous scientist.

Switch players will receive a free limited-time Legendary Pathfinder P.A.T.H. Skin if you log in anytime between March 9 to May 4.

Switch players will also be given 30 free levels for their Season 8 Battle Pass as a way to catch up on Season 8 progress and for 2 weeks, you’ll also be getting double xp modifiers.

The Chaos Theory Collection Event will also be host to new updates such as the Caustic Town Takeover, a new game type called Ring Fury Escalation Takeover, and no-fill matchmaking. More details on the event can be seen on the Apex Legends blog.
