Back 4 Blood, the coop shooter that is the closest thing we could get to a new Left 4 Dead game, has officially been delayed to October 12 from its initial release date of June 22.

Turtle Rock Studios have made the announcement on social media, making it the latest casualty in a long line of delays, saying that the team is “working hard to make Back 4 Blood the best game it can possibly be.”

The developers have announced that there will be an open beta this summer, so there is still some good news to be had. This will give players the chance to test the game and see if it is something that they want to sink their teeth into before it launches.

Back 4 Blood is now scheduled for an October 12 release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
