Final Fantasy XVI Game Length Revealed, Main Story to Include 11 Hours of Cutscenes

Ahead of its release on June 23 for the PS5, the game length of Final Fantasy XVI has been revealed through a series of previews and interviews published by various media outlets around the world, stating that the game will take roughly around 35 hours to complete.

Speaking to Japanese Outlet Famitsu (from a direct browser translation), producer Naoki Yoshida, director Hiroshi Takai, and combat director Ryota Suzuki provided details about the game’s length and said that Final Fantasy XVI’s main story will take around 35 hours to complete.

Aiming for 100% completion with all cutscenes would take double the time, around 70–80 hours, proving to be a lengthy adventure should players choose to do and see everything in the game.

It was also revealed that the game will include 11 hours of cutscenes just for the main story alone, without battle events. Yoshida added that the total length of cutscenes will be much higher when considering other events and side quests that are unrelated to the main story.

There will be a lot of cinematic moments, and even just based on the trailers, will have a strong focus to tell a compelling story. Fans that want to be immersed in the world and its events will surely want to look out for this one.
