Hideo Kojima Announces Partnership With Xbox Game Studios to Create a new Game
During the recently concluded Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, Hideo Kojima made a surprise appearance and announced a partnership with Xbox Game Studios to create a new game.
Kojima didn’t go into full details about the upcoming project but described it as a game that he’s “always wanted to make” and that it is something that “no one has ever seen or experienced before.” Kojima goes on to say that he will be leveraging Microsoft’s cloud-based technology to make this game a reality.
Kojima also said that it would take some time, but he hopes to share more updates once they are ready.
Of course, this announcement has sent shockwaves across the community, especially since Microsoft has been on an acquisition spree as of late. Kojima Productions put out a message to ensure that they remain an independent creative studio and will continue to have a “very good partnership” with PlayStation.

Kojima’s next game was reportedly leaked just last week, saying it was an upcoming horror game named Overdose starring Margaret Qualley. While nothing has been confirmed nor denied at the moment, it would be interesting to see what this turns out to be.
