Hop aboard the Unreliable one more time as The Outer Worlds’ second expansion, Murder on Eridanos, is expected to release soon. If Take Two’s latest financial reports (via VGC) are anything to go by, estimations point to some time during the first quarter of 2021 so until anything official is announced, fans of Obsidian’s space RPG can expect to return to the Halcyon Colony before the end of April 2021.

In the meantime those who own The Outer Worlds on the Nintendo Switch can now purchase the game’s first DLC expansion, Peril on Gorgon, beginning today February 10, 2021.

Check out some of the key features of the Peril on Gorgon expansion below:

  • Intrigue and danger: Search an abandoned Spacer’s Choice facility and encounter a cast of new characters as you uncover the mystery behind the sudden cancellation of the Gorgon Project.
  • New locations: Explore the treacherous canyons of the Gorgon Asteroid and encounter enemies that have been warped by science.
  • More science weapons: Discover three outlandish new science weapons, including the P.E.T. (Pest Extermination Tool), an exciting new melee weapon that draws in enemies for close-range attacks.
  • Expanded character customization and lore: An increased level cap, additional perks and flaws, wholly new armor sets, and several variants for existing gear. Plus, dig into the story of the Gorgon Asteroid with new Portable Phonograph audio logs that reveal the salacious secrets of a scientific experiment gone wrong.

Our review of the expansion calls it “a return trip worth the peril”, and we’re equally as hyped for the next (and final) expansion of the game that’s set to release soon, hopefully.
