Much awaited Kickstarter-backed indie JRPG Sea of Stars steps out of the shadows and announces a Nintendo Switch port scheduled for Holiday 2022.
If the game is giving you serious Chrono Trigger vibes, that’s because legendary composer Yasunori Mitsuda composed some of its music. Set in the world of The Messenger, you don’t need to have played the previous game in order to enjoy this gem.
“Since the very beginning, the plan was to release Sea of Stars on Switch. Considering where the game’s main inspirations were played, it naturally follows that it should live on a Nintendo console,” shared Sabotage Studios, as they are now busy with optimizing performance, which is off to a good start since the trailer was all captured from the Switch.
The studio will announce the other platforms that Sea of Stars will be available on in Spring 2022, but they also mentioned that “rest assured that we will be where the players are.”
Sea of Stars is launching for the Nintendo Switch in Holiday 2022.
