The Tokyo Game Show 2020 may have been cancelled but an online event will be taking its place and will run from September 23 – 27, as the organizers have announced.

Various updates and announcements will be revealed during the event as major publishers and indie game developers are expected to sign up to showcase the latest titles. At the same time, the event will also be streaming various eSports tournaments during the program proper.

As for the exhibitors and those involved in game-related businesses, an online business matching session will be held starting September 23 and this will “support the participants to facilitate flawless online meetings and networking opportunities”

Similarly, one of the other events during this season, Gamescom, has also been cancelled but will have a digital event on August 24 instead.
