Expansion pass for Pokemon Sword and Shield announced, first update available June 2020
Pokemon Sword and Shield fans have a lot more to look forward to as Game Freak have announced an expansion pass for both games, with the first update being available on June 2020.
Check out the reveal trailer below!
Called “The Isle of Armor” and “The Crown Tundra”, these are the 2 new zones that the expansion pass will contain and will both have new story content, characters, and Pokemon.
As it turns out, there are a LOT of Pokemon coming along with the pass, including some old Pokemon that were noticeably missing during the Sword and Shield launch as well as their Gigantamax versions.
If you refuse to throw money at the expansion pass, the good news is that you’ll still be able to trade for them and it’s pretty safe to say you won’t be able to capture them normally without the pass.
Here are the list of confirmed Pokemon for the expansion pass:
- Volcarona
- Lycanroc
- Regice
- Registeel
- Regirock
