Jeet Shroff of Sony Santa Monica has encouraged everyone to “Come join us as we get into the details about what the future has in store!”, leading users to believe that the studio may have something up their sleeves for the PS5 event.

It could very well be a new IP but what better way to kick off the games reveal event for the next generation than a God of War 2 confirmation? It would certainly make the PS5 release a highly anticipated one, more than it already is, and Sony does have a lot of catching up to do reveal-wise compared to the Xbox Series X.

Again, it could mean something, but it also could mean nothing at all. So temper your expectations.
