With Mafia 2 and 3 releasing to a lukewarm reception, mostly due to the technical problems that both titles experienced during launch, 2K and Hangar 13 are under the microscope with what is arguably their biggest release among the three Mafia games slated for this year.

IGN have released a 14 minute gameplay trailer showing gameplay for Mafia: Definitive Edition ahead of the planned reveal scheduled later today, which you can see below:

The Mafia: Definitive Edition story centers on Tommy Angelo with characters like Sam, Sarah, Vinnie, and Norman all making a return in this latest release and among all of the returning vehicles, motorcycles will now be part of your selection.

In the gameplay video, frantic gunfights can be seen as well as a highlight on various mechanics like blind fire, cover, and a high speed car (Truck) chase sequence. At least for the clip shown, gameplay looked to be smooth and free of the technical issues that plagued the first two games.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is scheduled to release on September 25 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
