Coming from the reports of the reboot last October, it looks like the latest Resident Evil movie being directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down) has now wrapped up production.

A tweet from Sony Pictures confirms this, and although there is no set date as to when any trailer will be released, this could come next so fans looking forward to the reboot should be excited.

The cast for the upcoming reboot looks promising, being led by Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield and Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield. The rest of the cast consists of Avan Jogia, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hopper, and Neal McDonough, and the movie will be faithful to the first 2 games in the series.

This movie reboot is not to be mistaken with the upcoming Netflix CG Series Resident Evil Infinite Darkness nor the upcoming Netflix live action series.
