Coming from an initial announcement that was scheduled to see the new Harry Potter game, Hogwarts Legacy, launch this year, it has now been revealed that the game will be delayed a full year and will be released in 2022.

The annoucement was made over social media, and says that “Creating the best possible experience for all of the Wizarding World and gaming fans is paramount to us so we are giving the game the time it needs.”

Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG that is set in the 1800’s and will have you “Embark on a journey through familiar and new locations as you explore and discover fantastic beasts, customize your character and craft potions, master spell casting, upgrade talents, and become the wizard you want to be.”

Hogwarts Legacy is set to release on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
