As announced during the ongoing Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that the latest Zelda entry on the Switch will be none other than The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, releasing on July 16. Fans who were waiting for news about Breath of the Wild 2 or possibly other remastered titles may have been disappointed, but this offering should not be shrugged off.

Despite the game being “divisive” due to its control scheme, you’ll be glad to know that this upcoming outing will have optional motion control, meaning you can play it “regularly” with a standard control scheme.

This once Wii classic will be taking advantage of the latest Switch motion control technology, boasting of more intuitive controls, and will feature a themed The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Edition Joy-con, sold separately.
