Sony set to release MLB The Show 21 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series
While everyone is celebrating console exclusives left and right, Sony is set to release its latest MLB game on the PS5 and the PS5 in a couple of months… That’s not the whole story though because the game, once an exclusive, is also set to release on the Xbox One and Xbox Series! Surprise!
On a PlayStation Blog post, Sony has confirmed that the upcoming game will feature cover athlete Fernando Tatis Jr. and will launch on April 20 with full cross-gen, cross-play, and cross-progression functionality.
The game will come in a standard edition that will set you back for $59.99, or around PHP3,000, on the current gen consoles. Meanwhile, next-gen consoles will see a $10 increase, bumping the price up to $69.99, or around PHP3,500.
A collector’s edition will be revealed on February 3 and as mentioned on the announcement, gamers looking for a next-gen upgrade path will have to check in on the Collector’s Edition when it is announced.
MLB The Show 21 is set to release on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series on April 20, right around the corner with another PlayStation exclusive, Returnal.
