Grand Theft Auto VI reportedly aiming for a 2024-2025 release window
It’s been a number of years since Grand Theft Auto V has been released, and believe it or not, the game will still be making its way to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on November 11. Fans have been waiting patiently for the release, or even some semblance of news of Grand Theft Auto VI, but if recent reports are to be believed, its not coming anytime soon. In fact, the game looks to be scheduled for a 2024-2025 release window.
The source of the reports come from Tom Henderson, who has put up a lengthy video talking about all of the Grand Theft Auto VI news that he’s heard of so far, which has been quite a lot actually. He talks about the game being set in modern times, along with multiple map changes via DLC, as well as multiple playable characters among others.
Fast forward to the 6 minute mark of the video, he goes on to say that a release date of 2024-2025 might be in the cards for Grand Theft Auto VI, which is due to a number of reasons, mainly for employee well-being.
Tom Henderson has a pretty good track record with leaks, as he was also the one that recently broke news about Battlefield 2042, but what gives the report a bit of backing is the corroboration of industry insider Jason Schreier, who basically says that all of Henderson’s information about the game “matches up with what I’ve heard”.
If the 2025 release date holds true, it would have been 12 years since the release of the previous game, which is a massive wait time. By the time it is released, it would be safe to say that fans will definitely expect a masterpiece of a game, and Rockstar is certainly capable of that.
